Oral Thrush is caused by a fungal organism which is a component of normal salivary microbiota. It can cause clinical disease in cases of low immunity or any traumatic injury in the oral cavity or or or long term antibiotic usage, etc. So instituting an antifungal therapy immediately will not be the right step.
Clean your tongue with a toothbrush only after every time you brush your teeth. Do not use a tongue cleaner whether metallic or plastic or wooden as it can cause more harm than good. The red bumps are normal structures of the tongue which are being more conspicuous now because of the yellowish discoloration of deposits on the tongue.
If the clinical picture of the tongue does not improve within 2 or 3 days you can consult a dentist for a proper clinical evaluation so that any objective treatment can be instituted if required.
The suggestions mentioned till now are based on the description that you have given and are conservative and not bound to cause any side effects.
Regards.
