One sip/gulp of ors in copper bottle

2024-07-21 17:40:52
I already had mild loose motions and ended up having one sip/gulp of ORS which was in a copper bottle for almost 3-4 hours. I later saw the water had turned greenish in color. My loose motions have increased. How harmful can it be? I already consulted a doctor and he gave some medicines - drotin ds, norflox 400, bifilac hp and sompraz d. And he said one sip shouldnt matter.

To get the better treatment plan or management of the disease along with second opinion kindly always prefer video consultation . A video consultation is best for better understanding the disease and to explain the prognosis

Opinion: It's reassuring that you consulted a doctor and received appropriate medications for your symptoms. The greenish color of the ORS in the copper bottle might be due to a chemical reaction, but one sip is unlikely to cause significant harm. However, if your loose motions have increased, it's important to monitor your symptoms. Next steps: 1. **Continue Medications:** Take the prescribed medications—Drotin DS, Norflox 400, Bifilac HP, and Sompraz D—as directed by your doctor. 2. **Hydration:** Ensure you stay well-hydrated with safe, clean water or ORS prepared in a non-reactive container. 3. **Monitor Symptoms:** Keep track of your symptoms. If they worsen or you experience additional symptoms like severe abdominal pain, high fever, or blood in stools, seek immediate medical attention. 4. **Follow-up:** Schedule a follow-up consultation with me, online or offline, to reassess your condition and ensure your treatment plan is effective. Please book an appointment with me for a thorough evaluation and further guidance. Your health and recovery are my top priorities.
