Does nitro glycerine (GTN CREAM) works on internal and external haemorrhoids too or its only effective on fissure

Its effective only for fissure as t relaxes the sphincter and increase the blood flow to the fissure and helps in healing.   NTG has side effects also.There r lots of other oinment for fissure and haemorrhoids apart from ntg.
