Hemithyroidectomy done and biopsy reports came as papillary carcinoma of thyroid, total thyroidectomy done, now they are suggesting to take radio active iodine, does it have any side effects

Radioactive Iodine is adjuvant recognised treatment for Thyroid cancer after total .thyroidectomy . Side effects are very controlled & advantage are well recognised .
