Muscle cache in lowerback

Hi I got severe muscle cache in lower back 4 weeks ago ,I went for the X-ray its showing only 4 vertibrae and 5 th one is joined with base, doctor told to take complete bed rest for a week as I was unable to move.the doctor also shown some exercises for the strong back but I dint do it regularly..now my problem is I am feeling week lower back, I am unable to do things as I used to do before.. I am feeling tired easily ..I am taking rest after small work..what is the solution for my lower back to be strong? Is there any problem if spine has only 4 vertibrae..

Exercise. Regular low-impact aerobic activities — those that don't strain or jolt your back —  increase strength and endurance in your back and allow your muscles to function better.  Build muscle strength and flexibility. Maintain a healthy weight. Being overweight strains back muscles. If you're overweight, trimming down can prevent back pain..... ,,,
