Menstruation Problem

I have started contraceptive pill Yasmin tablet this month with doctors recommendation. It's a course of 21 days then I have to take a break of 7 days then start again. But I got my periods on 19th day only. Then I stopped taking Yasmin tablet. This month I am experiencing heavy flow in periods not as usual and it's more than 7 days and still flow is same. I don't know what is happening, kindly help me with this.
