Is bp medicine is for lifetime?

I am 28 yrs of age and one day found that my bp is 140/100 and heart beat is 138 so i went to a cardio he started a medicine telma and inderal. he said cause is anxiety. though i do not have any familiar problem of bp. my point is that at this age do i need to take the medicine for lifetime? my height is 176cm and weight is 88 kg. please make this doubt clear. i had a echo also but its normal no effect on heart. and can anxiety be measured in echo?

Hello dear you have to take medicine for some time and monitoring of bp regularly and then stepwise lowering of medicines

If after doing lifestyle modifications also your bp remains high then you may have to take medicines lifelong. Take care
