Hi, it looks like facial nerve palsy. Ear infection is the one of the cause for facial palsy or bells palsy. It is temporory weakness or paralysis of one side of facial muscles. Symptoms include drooling,difficulty eating and drinking,an inability to make facial expressions, such as smiling or frowning, facial weakness,muscle twitches in the face dry eye and mouth,a headache,sensitivity to sound. Etc Depending upon the cause it requires treatment.if diabetes is under control you can go for surgery. Physcian has to see the condition of patient to give fitness for surgery.
