I'm 34 year old I m taking metoprolo succinate 50 mg in morning after meal to control my high BP approx 145/100 . Will it suitable for me and will it control my bp every time . Is there any side effects on eye or heart. Plse give me opinion and elaborate it.

Metoprolol is not used for BP management initially. Lifestyle changes should be considered - 1. Low Sodium Salt (Tata Superlite) 2. Weight Loss 3. Aerobic exercise (Moderate Intensity atleast 150mins/week) 4. Weight Lifting atleast 2 sessions/week. 5. Mindfulness meditation.
