Hernia in groin area

2016-01-20 07:10:16
I woke up to a weird small lump in my my groin below my hip bone, where I strap my belt. The size is very small, almost the size of finger tip but is sensitive and pains a bit when I touch it. Any home remedies that I should try before taking an appointment ?

Hello there. It's better to consult a surgeon in person and get yourself examined. Avoid straining for stools or lifting heavy things because these cause the intra abdominal pressure to rise and the swelling could increase if its a hernia. No swelling should be ignored and specially if there is pain. Don't delay further and consult a general surgeon. Regards

It will be advisable to see a doctor since it is difficult to advise without examining since you are having pain on touching it.
