I broke my hand (5th metacarpal) at the base by the wrist, and had X-rays and ct to confirm the break. Hand was placed in the cast for 3 week. The cast has now came off I've had no other X-rays or scans on the break. I still have pain at the source and no strength in my hand at all is this normal. Surgery was being considered originally.

Recommend you to send x-ray Because of the cast and immobility the hand would be stiff some muscles tightcsbdvsine weak I can recommend exercises that you can do for your hand at home to get rid of weakness and tightness and get back the strength
