General Anesthesia for 3.4 year male kd

Kids age of 3.4 years was having teeth pain and inflammation on the right upper big teeth. He was advised to do Root Canal, as he won't support they said they will be doing General anaesthesia after checking all the necessary points. Is this okay to go for general Anesthesia at this point? Any side effects? Please suggest

If the kid is not cooperative then you can try conscious sedation And if that too doesn't work then you can go for general anesthesia but only pedodontist should be doing the procedure

U need the opinion of a anesthesiologist. And a pedodontist. Then u can determine whether general anesthesia or conscious sedation can be given and treated.

Hello Sir, This depends on how cooperative your child is. Generally, children this small are unable to cope with extensive dental work; either due to fear or simply because they are too young. Concious sedation( laughing gas) can be tried. If the child is not too fearful and allows the mask to be putting on, this is a good option General anaesthesia is safe and is generally recommended in uncooperative patients or those who do not accept nitrous
Next Steps
1. Please go to a pediatric dentist who has a nitrous oxide set up and let them assess which of the two treatments the child would be able to accept best.

Yeah u can try conscious sedation tooo which means the patient is exposed to inhale nitrous oxide gas
