Hello
Babies sneeze frequently due to small, sensitive nostrils and exposure to dust, cold air, or breastmilk reflux into the nose. It is not always a sign of infection or allergy.
Watery eyes could be due to blocked tear ducts (nasolacrimal duct obstruction) — very common in this age. Mild redness can also result from irritation or rubbing of eyes.
Keep baby away from strong perfumes, smoke, incense sticks, and dust. Maintain clean air and good hygiene around baby.
Breastfeeding helps build natural immunity.
Next Steps
Clean eyes gently with sterile cotton dipped in cooled boiled water (wipe from inside to outside corner).
Lacrimal sac massage: Use index finger to apply gentle downward pressure over the inner corner of the eye (between eye and nose), 5–6 times a day.
Use saline nasal drops (e.g., 1 drop each nostril before feeds or sleep) to relieve nasal irritation.
