Rct through bridge is definitely possible but the strength of the chewing surface of the bridge is compromised. So sooner or later a replacement of the bridge will be necessary.
Health Tips
you can ask the dentist to do a steog filling in the hole created for rct so that the bridge can function atleast for some more time.

Yes! It is possible . But ideally get the Bridge or cap removed to evaluate decay status in coronal part of tooth (tooth under the cap) which can not be diagnosed wth bridge in position by x-ray.
Next Steps
1. X-ray

Yes definitely if abutment tooth is infected it will require RCT if the prognosis of saving this tooth is good. Important thing to note is whether to retain present bridge or not. One of the common causes of a tooth acquiring infection is because of inappropriate crown and tooth margin. If a dentist assesses that the crown is good and do not require correction than RCT can be done through existing bridge or else it is advisable to get your bridge removed and get a new one after RCT is completed.
Next Steps
Go to an endodontist and get yourself examined clinically and radiographically.
Health Tips
Don't postpone seeking an expert advise or you risk losing your infected tooth and bridge work.
