This is for our daughtet of 15 yrs old. Her lips are cracked. She keeps wetting her lips but when she forgets during her studies, it starts bkeeding. We are using butter , ghee, milk cream and is controlled to some extent. Is this some medical condition? Pl inform. Thanks. Raaj

Hi there...chapping if lips can occur due to various reasons like nutritional deficiency to photosensitivity. She will need to be examined clinically once to determine the cause. For treatment she might be started on white soft paraffin, sunscreen, tacrolimus according to the cause. Kindly consult a dermatologist for further evaluation.
