Corona Test result
Hello Doctor
My relative (age 36)tested positive on 16 th may that time his RTPCR CT value was 25.02 and had very mild symptoms. Then he took all medicines prescribed by Doctor and was quarantined in separate room. Today he did corona test again and result came positive , RTPCR CT value is 30.45 and having no symptoms or problem except very mild cough. His oxygen level is also normal. Does he need to be qurantined again? And any test (D-Dimer)need to be done?

If patient has not developed serious symptoms, don't panic by positive result only.
According to Government guidelines, a positive patient needs to be quarantined for 2weeks and repeat COVID-19 test is not recommended. So, further quarantine period is not required, though I like to advise to wear mask properly everytime.

1) Remember we treat patients and not the numbers so if the patient had mild symptoms which normal oxygen saturation- home quarantine with the prescribed medicines is ok
2) After the quarantine, there is no need to repeat RT PCR as it can come positive for upto 45-90days post illness
3) Currently patient do not have any symptoms with oxygen levels being normal then there is no need to be in quarantine
