Although proven healthy, it's dose or amount is not specified for the kids.
It can be made in seawater or with toxin/ chemical pools so quality does matter and no magic rise in weight gain can occur with any such items.
Better to prefer home made food which you eat daily. Can give proteins on alternate day but do change then like rajma, channa, mug or dal.
Can consider starting eggs or meat if you prefer to eat.
