Yes you can eat non vegetarian food at night. But it's better to take your meals 2 to 4 hrs before your bed time. No doubt it takes longer time to digest non vegetarian food because of their high protein content. If your digestion is good no worries to take non veg food at night. If you have digestion issues please consult a qualified professional to suggest you appropriate protein sources from category of non vegetarian , vegetarian food as per your digestion .
As per mine practical experience balance diet work best for overall health that is planned considering individual body weight, height, food availablety ,digest ability, affordability,accessibility, weight,height, biochemical parameters and most important individual lifestyle.
