C-reactive protein test

Dear doctor, I got my blood test done today n my C-Reactive protein test result is 16mg/L. My ESR too is 58mm. What could be the cause?

Hello there. When there is infection or inflammation in the body anywhere, ESR and C reactive protein raises. So whenever the ESR or CRP is high, the cause must be explored. Are you having any fever, abdominal pain etc? Consult a physician in person with the reports, he will be able to help you out further. Regards

CRP & ESR are non specific indicators of some inflammation in the body . Consult a doctor who will examine you and advise as to the cause of increase in CRP and esr.
