Bp - telmisartan 40mg

My mother has bp and she has been adviced to take amlophine 5mg morning and telmisartan 40 mg. Now she is having leg swelling so doctor prescribed to take telmisartan 40mg morning and evening. Is it ok to take morning and evening ? Even after 40mg she is having 160 when in hospital (125 or 130 in home) . Her age is 67 . Has knee pain and difficult to walk. No other issues than this. Pls advice

According to her age having 125-130 systolic BP under maintenance with Telmisartan seems to be fine But can u please let me how much is diastolic If it is also normal then it is perfect to take Telmisartan 40mg twice a day
