My mom is suffering from low back pain so doctor advised to take blood test the result was ESR is 82.... Sir please can you tell its related to wat type infection or any other prblms please some one clear me

Hello. Well ESR is not all a diagnostic test..It simply suggests some underlying chronic illnesses..I would want to know detailed history about your mother strafing from chief complaints to last history of medical illness...Thank you

Hello.......ESR is not diagnostic test, but only used in prognostic purpose... ESR is elevated in many conditions, and some of them are physiological....ESR is a useful indication of the presence and intensity of an inflammatory process. It is not diagnostic of a particular disease. It rises with age and in anaemia...consult your doctor with report.
