I can understand your concern.
Yes you need to check the expiry date of the syringe. Usuwlly syringes and other such things have a long expiry so i do not think you will come across a expired syringe.
But lets suppose you do inject using a expired syringe, nothing will happen as long as its not been used or the packet isn't been tampered.
Consult a general physician in person for further evaluation and management.
