Hi I am a mother of a 5 month old baby boy. He has had a very mild fever for 7 days . I gave him calpol drops for 2 days . The temperature was not high, but the varying armpit temp from 99.1 to 100 F and his body was hot even though the thermometer temp was normal. Today I took him for a physical examination at the doctor. He suggested the attached antibiotic. Is it safe to give him

Yes it's safe. Temperature seems mild, likely to be a viral fever which usually subsides after a few days. Doesn't need antibiotics
Next Steps
If no other symptoms, urine microscopy before starting antibiotics would be useful
