My father in law is in Darjeeling having acute pain due to gout. It has been going on for at least 10-15 yrs. Medications take care of it for a while but too much of pain killers is making him weak. Is there a proper treatment for this. As he takes pressure medications as well so me and my husband are looking to consult with someone who can help us with a proper solution to this health insurance issue. Location Kolkata

Hello. Chronic gout can be really debilitating. Anti-gout meds like tab FEBUTAZ 40mg once daily at bedtime needs to be continued. Local joint pain & swelling can be treated by intra-articular injections. Contact a rheumatologist for opinion. Hope this helps.
