If its alopecia areata then yes, she can definitely benefit from a few sessions of intralesional corticosteroid injections. There are many other types and causes of alopecia, so definite diagnosis and treatment can be advised only after detailed physical examination. Kindly schedule an appointment with your dermatologist for the same. Regards, Dr. Shruti Jadhav Devershi, Sólskin Professional Dermacare, Kharadi, Pune.

Depending  upon  the  type of alopecia  lots of treatment  options  are  available.  Treatment  can involve some simple  prescription  to be followed  up  at home to procedure like platelet rich plasma therapy, mesotherapy, LLLT- a type of laser, injections etc . It would  be better to meet and consult a dermatologist  with all previous available  treatment  records to know what is likely  to  work most for your mom. To know more about this visit
