Tdap is a combination vaccine that protects against three potentially life-threatening bacterial diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough). The Tdap vaccine can be given any time of the year. Only one shot is needed. It may be given with other vaccinations. Tdap can be given regardless of the interval since the last Td vaccine was given. The MMR vaccine protects against measles, mumps, and rubella. This is taken as 2 doses the 2nd dose 4 weeks after the initial dose.
