Acute gastritis is very common these days. Take food at regular time. Avoid spicy, salty and sour foods, especially baked foods. Adequate sleep, managing any recent stress, avoidance of smoking and alcohol are of paramount importance. Over the counter Pantoprazole 40mg daily before food for 1 week should help in majority of cases of gastritis.
