About to oral cancer
I am a 22 year old young man. 4 months ago I had an ulcer on my cheek near the wisdom tooth. Initially it was painful and red and it was also a little raised but after some time the pain and redness went away and a white round patch was left which was not healing. I used to eat paan masala earlier but I left it as soon as this problem occurred. Now I am not in the habit. Now I am scared and worried that I might have mouth cancer. Please tell me what is this and can it cause mouth cancer in me.

Hi.. I am oral pathologist. As such in this pic there are no clinical changes as you fear.It is good that you have discontinued the habit, even if there is minor changes discontinuing might help healing. So visiting a dentist for thorough evaluation is better.
