Hello there. As such there is no necessity of removing it unless it's causing problems in day to day activities or causing any problems cosmetically. Lipoma is a benign tumor and rarely or never turns malignant. But lipoma on the thigh can transform into liposarcoma. Talk to your surgeon about this for further help. regards
