About consulting a psychiatrist
I told my mom that I want to consult a psychologist. But she said that if I do so then I'll be under a series of treatment. She doesn't want me to waste my time on a regular basis with my psychiatrist. Can't this treatment take place within a day or two?

I appreciate you for voicing your need to see a psychologist. Please tell your mother that a psychologist will not give medications. They will help you with the issue you are having using other corrective techniques. Only if it is a problem that needs medical intervention then you will be told to see a psychiatrist.  And the number of visits depends on the severity of the issue. It could be from 1 visit to 10 depending on the seriousness of the problem.
