8.5 months old baby girl.
My baby's Pediatrician has advised me to stop massaging my baby to cure her dry skin. It has been a month now, her skin seems fine but I feel my baby is leaner and looks thin, also her skin is becoming a bit dark. Can you please suggest if I can resume massaging again. Can I use any product other than oil.

Good attention to feeding practices should help in building up the weight gain and muscle mass.. oil massage is good for improving muscle toneas it enhances the circulation.. so coconut oil can be started as is most hypoallergenic.. please don't worry about dark complexion.. children go through a lot of variation in colour of the skin

Hi I can fully understand your worry Cocomut oil massage can be started.... but look for any allergy signs... Also give baby plenty of fluids to drink.... fluids give your skin.. a glow... Darkening  of skin may be hereditary.... or some micronutrients deficiency. Dry skin needs oil. Coconut oil massage can be restarted . If an allergy develops , let me know. Darkening of skin could be hereditary or deficiency of iron and folic acid .
Health Tips
Apply oil on body and wash off after 1 hour

Ur baby is already 8.5mon, there is no need of massaging. Focus on giving food atleast 3-4times for weight gain. Dark skin could be hereditary.
