6 weeks pregnant - now diabetic with 7.5

Hi doctor, I'm 6 week pregnant & I have diabetic now with 7.5 hba1c, daily as per glucometer it shows 150 or 165. Kindly sugest what to do now. Should I have to take insulin. Whether it will effect my baby's growth. Kindly advise. Rgds,, M
