Hi.my daughter have proplem eye water is coming always Doctor advise used dopramycin drops but still come pls suggest solve this problem

Hello A. Please don't worry B.this is a very common problem in infants C. This is due to lacrimal passage blockage.... D. Eyedrop will.not help....you may use tobramycin eyedrop as advised but you have to start doing massage ( sac massage)...massage with index finger from up to down on area between eyes and nose This will help you

Your 3 months daughter is having  non canalization of nasolacrimal duct since birth which is very common & antibiotic eye drops is not going to help, her mother has to learn from some experienced ophthmologist how to do lacrimal sac massage while lactating along with antibiotic eye drops.Antibiotic eye drops is enough for this problem, Dr Arjun kr Singh Patna

Thanks for putting up your query. Would like to know whether the watering is continuous or occasional and is associated with white or yellow discharge. If latter, then it could be caused by some tear drainage obstruction. It could also be due to some local infection. If not relieved by tobramycin eye drop, you need to consult an Oculoplasty specialist  (specializing in tear duct and related problems).
