10 days old baby CRP rose to 70
Hi
My baby is preterm and born in 31 week.
Weight 1.5 kg. On minimum support in NICU.
Antibiotic was ongoing from day 1 and on 9th day some antibiotic reduced. On 10th day CRP rose to 70 which was at 7 on day before. Also jaundice increased.
We are worried too much, dont know whats happening. How much time it will take to recover.

Relax. Born at 31 weeks of pregnancy expect at least 8weeks to be normal. . For jaunce use sun bath covering face every day for a few hours.Jaudice will improve. About CPR, it will decrease slowly.. you can consult again after a few weeks

Preterm babies are more prone to infections ,if you r in good setup every thing will be normal,but it takes time and need to check more parameters and continuous monitoring feel free to ask everything to treating consultat will explain.
