Dr. Divya Sekhar is a competent, practical and understanding psychiatrist. After being on medication for nearly 6 years and going to various psychiatrists, Dr. Divya was able to diagnose the exact issue and provided effective practical ways of dealing with it. The practical actions which she recommends during therapy has helped me the most. Therapy wasn’t only me sharing what I was experiencing but also putting into practice various strategies that she suggested.

The strategies that Dr. Divya recommended were a combination of various approaches backed up by research. The thing that set her apart from other doctors I’ve visited is the scientific basis of all her approaches. She would give me research articles and explain the science behind the approaches. But therapy with Dr. Divya was not just a scientific experiment, it was also a safe, vulnerable space where I could share experiences without judgement. She listened with empathy and gave suggestions with compassion.

Her specialisation in trauma therapy was evident in the way that she was able to identify the effects of trauma (both big and small). Trauma can be a scary word for most, especially me but her approach to trauma took away a lot of the misconception and fear I had associated with trauma. During all our sessions, never once did I feel like something was wrong with me or that I was incurable.

Overall, my experience with Dr. Divya was brilliant. I was able to understand exactly where certain behaviour or emotions were coming from and practical strategies to deal with this behaviour which were based in scientific research. Now, therapy sessions are something I look forward to as it is a safe space for me to understand myself, others and situations better.

Doctor explained my mental state, studied me very clearly and explained about further therapy and medication, this gave me a great relief on the very first visit itself.

I was able to notice great positive change in me and iam getting better in all the aspects everyday, iam able to focus on me and in the present time. My mind has become light and happy. I am really thankful and grateful to the doctor, therapist, social worker and everyone present there for giving such a homely atmosphere and building confidence.

Dr. Divya was the 5/6th doctor I went to after struggling to get the right help. The previous doctors were unable to catch my diagnosis plus were very ignorant about my mental health situation (being pyschiatrists). It’s very hard to find the right fit for you and I’m very glad I was referred to her by my counselling pyschologist. She’s very precise and caught my diagnosis very quickly after I was misdiagnosed for 3 years. She is very articulate and elaborated well about my condition. She was very supportive through stressful times. We followed up and kept up with each other including my progress, medications, stressful episodes. Over all I’m very satisfied with my consultation with her. I even directed a lot of my friends/ colleagues to her.

Entirely disappointed... They didn't even give any counselling instead they had asked all my working details and when I explained all the marital issues .. not even a single sentence was doctor given in the name of counselling instead she asked us to admit in the hospital for a week for counselling and many tests..No use of choosing this hospital... **** **** *** ** **** *** **** ******** 1500rs we lost and even we lost our one day...
