Later in 2005 she worked in physio vision for almost 6 months and went on for specialization in Neurodevelopmental Therapy and Sensory Integration at The Spastic Society of Tamil Nadu for a year. She worked in SRMC, Porur and also worked as a consultant physiotherapist in pediatric care in a couple of clinics in the year 2006.
She started her private practice at Gokulam Child Development And Rehab Services since 2007. She has also done international certification in Neurodevelopmental Therapy, Aquatic Therapy, Sensory Integration, manual therapy and recent advanced treatment strategies which would benefit the children based on their presentation/behaviour. She treats children with delayed in developmental milestone, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, sensory processing disorder, other genetic disorders, learning disability, etc. She is heading the team which includes occupational therapy, physiotherapist, psychologist, special educator, speech therapist. All the facilities are available under one roof. Our motto is service to children and helps the children to cope with the day to day needs, socialize, communicate for their basic needs and above all to become functionally independent in their life.
They have Learning Center (Gokulam School for Children with Specific Learning Disability
and Cerebral Palsy which was established in the year 2012) which mainly focuses on children from 0 to 8 years of age., to promote development in all domains like ADLs, Cognitive,Socialization and Fine and gross motor areas, the school focus on parent centered. referred to a normal school. They believe in parental guidance and also provide inputs to parents, a home programme to them. We welcome parents to become the active participant in the therapy time.
Recently they added functional vision therapy and psychological counseling for parents and adults.
Gokulam has now expanded the services by extending another 1000 sq. ft. in the ground floor to focus mainly on Women’s Wellness, Geriatric population and Adult Rehab focusing on Movement Health and Wellness.
