I am an experienced Professional Mental Health Counsellor, with a back ground in providing / guiding people for the mental well-being. Further, I am a certified counsellor for Adolescent & Children. Also a registered member with Chennai Counselor’s Foundation with regn # JPC-164. Also having completed “Fellowship in Applied Nutrition”, can provide both psychological / Nutrition-cum-diet guidance.
I empower couples and individuals to overcome personal obstacles to improve their lifestyle. My knowledge and skills have developed through my studies / hands-on work in practice, as a mental health counsellor. I believe that there is always something new to learn working in this field and make a regular commitment to on-going professional development and clinical supervision.
My ambition is to provide a safe, healthy environment for people / youth, by which they can thrive and reach their highest potential, as Mental Health and well-being is crucial to the development of every person.
With blessings of God, I have been invited by educational institutions / corporates, as a visiting speaker, to offer presentation on Women’s health & mental wellness.
What excites me most about the potential of Counselling & Occupational Therapy is the focus on the promotion of mental health and wellbeing, rather than on mediating the negative effects of health-related problems. Learning more about this inspiring approach of changing the lives of people, allowing me to achieve mental satisfaction and marching towards my ultimate goal of making a change in approach, of people, in their life.
Prior to training as a psychological counsellor, I was into research management. Being a research scholar had done various researches during my career. Published paper on “Presence of elevated non-HDL among patients with T2DM with CV events despite of optimal LDL-C – A report from South India.”
Recently, I have completed my research on – “To study the prevalence of depression, Anxiety, Stress and Quality of Life among of Menopausal Women”
The counselling is to provide comprehensive mental health / diet counselling, assessment and consultation, so that the patients are able to effectively manage their daily stressors, experience personal growth & development and succeed in fulfilling their responsibilities, and they can progress towards better future.
