Sumitra Devi madam is simply amazing and an outstanding psychiatrist. I've been taking treatment from her for the past 3 months for depression. I have been feeling positive changes from the time I started the medicines and my condition has drastically improved. I see lot of improvement the mindset as well. Will definitely recommend her if you're looking for good Psychiatrist . Mental well-being is nothing to be afraid of it is completely ok to get help and if there is a good doctor like her it makes things even better. Don't give it a second thought-- hands down she is the best.

Cons:

Long waiting time but almost all hospitals do have it.

We had been to hospital and it was for my mother. She had biopsy surgery. Treatment was fine. We have not got reports yet. I called hospital. No one picked up the call at the hospital. She has to be operated thrice. Medicine was not prescribed by the doctor. It was for normal consultation we visited. Some itching and pain in skin she has currently. I am satisfied with the treatment given.  I can recommend doctor to my family or friends. There was no waiting time in hospital. Doctor suggested dolo 650.

Am suffering UTI for one year. But not cured.. visited the uro specialist neelakandan sir.. so he guide me proper test find the there is uthera stricture.. so we plan for operation which help to Remvoe the stricture.. post operation I was able to connect through phone at any time no hesitation to reply..

now am fine my urine flow is good..

I visited dr.sumithra devi with severe depression .

Her approach was very friendly.She was very patient in hearing our problems.

She explained patiently about why fear and depression are coming.

She gave me suggestions and advice to come out of depression.With her advice and medication within 2 weeks I'm able to come out of depression and feeling normal.

Dr AnanthaKrishnan for me has been a life saver. He in his first consultation only detected the issue and currently my father is under his supervision at Prashanth. He has been very friendly on calls and also while explaining the issue with reasoning. Under his observation my father is recovering well and could be discharged soon. He will always be my go to doctor for any issue. Thank you Doc.

My father had met with an accident and precautionary CT scan led to diagnosis of a condition called 'Subdural Hygroma' (this was not a direct result of the accident). We came to consult Dr.Somasundaram after having visited 3 different doctors/hospitals to consult him for this condition.

The other doctors suggested immediate surgery to drain the fluid from Head or putting an injection to drain fluid etc as this is a life-threatening issue but Dr.Somasundaram considered other factors like patient medical history, Age, Sugar, BP etc and based on his expertise and experience suggested that surgery was not the best option and told us to monitor him further and told us to be conscious of any other anomalies / symptoms of brain; he also told us to treat other issues first (we were so worried because of the brain condition that we almost forgot about treating other accident related injuries!).

Few precautionary tests/scans and consultations later Dr.Somasundaram assured us that there is nothing to worry and told my father to resume his normal routine.

I am writing this 4 months after the accident and the diagnosis of the condition - My father is absolutely fine now. My family will be eternally grateful to him.

I was so depressed and had suicidal thoughts, negative thinking also when i visited the doctor for the first time. She was so kind enough with me and heard all my issues keenly. And recommended pills and some behavioural changes according to my issues. It gave me good relief. Also she gave some assignments which she discusses during the next session which is really helpful.

She listens keenly at every session, and prescribes medication accordingly. Also the discussion about the assignments with the doctor make me realize about myself.

I was prescribed Alfuzosin without explaining its side effect. I am already on hypertension medication. *** ********** **** ** ****** It would be helpful if doctor explains consequences,side effects, risks of medication in detail before prescribing it. In my case the diagnosis was inconclusive as I was operated for urethral strictures which did not cure my illness. I have been now diagnosed with possible PBNO. The doctor is polite and responsive. However I wish doctors take more time with patients and explain the diagnosis.
