#Positive birthstory# Empowered Birth#Baby girl!
I was conceived 3rd time just 2 months post my missed abortion (2nd) hence my body was too weak and anxiety gripped me coz of the history. I was at native and when I called up my gynec, she said this time it will go well and will check once I am back. We decided to travel at 10 weeks, so went to a local gynec to see if I could get heads up for travel. She scanned and told I have internal bleeding hence to be on bed rest, take 2 injections every alternate day, keep vaginal pill else I will miscarry blah blah.. I was too scared and called up my gynec (Dr Yogasalini) at chennai to inform this. She asked me not to take any of those injection or meds and assured me nothing is wrong and I can be active and continue to take just folic ,but travel when I am comfortable. Hence we decided to travel back to chennai post 12 weeks. Mam was happy for me to see everything was normal at 3rd month scan and encouraged me to be active and positive.
I started prenatal yoga and birth ball exercises from fifth month of my pregnancy after heads up from gynec.
I had panic moments when I faced spotting thrice during pregnancy but everytime my obgyn assured that nothing is wrong and to stay positive .I was given only calcium and iron, later skipped Iron too since that caused me constipation and my tb was food.Assured that the prominence in baby's kidney at 20 week anomoly scan is coz baby hasnt passed urine so dont have to worry .I wanted to have a natural birth but couldn't go to Birth Village, Kochi hence discussed this in detail with my obgyn and she assured me that it will go as per my wish. Many told me that most gynec will say yes for everything but will change in the last minute but I trusted her.
Next scan at 36 weeks, mam said baby's head is engaged and I can expect pain around 38 week itself.
LABOR:
On 29th June 10pm ( 38 weeks and 6 days) , I started feeling pain in my vaginal region and then in my lower belly, I wasn’t sure if it was actual labor coz I know how contractions will be but they were 5 mins apart .I drank jeera, saunf water to rule out Braxton hicks but they don't stop. Hence called up my ob and she asked me to come to hospital if surges last for more than 30 secs. They did so and we reached hospital at 11pm.
Team : My Obgyn Dr. Yogasalini , 2 nurses to assist her, my husband, my sister.
My overall labor was just 4 hours!
*No frantic shaving of pubic area, No enema, No drips, No breaking membranes, No episiotomy, Free to move.
*Baby heartbeat checked and found normal.
*Mam did 1st internal examination after asking me, Informed 8 CM dilated.
*Mam left the room asking me to call for her when I am ready to push and gave me my space.
*Dim lights, songs playing, essential oil diffuser on, drank few sips of water and peeing often and speaking to baby.
*I was breathing through contractions, bouncing and doing hip rotations on birth ball (coz of yoga sessions) . When I was on all 4 I felt baby descend faster and felt the urge to push and called mam.
*I was on my yoga mat and dint want to move elsewhere hence went into a deep squat on the mat, my hub was holding me, my ob was all set to assist me n my baby and in 1st push my water broke and in 2 more intense pushes she was out at 1.50am !
*Immediate skin to skin established. I can't explain how grateful I felt that moment. For the first time I birthed my baby not just someone delivered her.
*Delayed cord clamping.
*Placenta naturally delivered.
*1° tear stitches done.
*Golden hour feeding done.
Finally an empowered birth just how I wanted!🥰
Even though the next day was Sunday, she came to check on us! We were discharged in 24 hours and charged nominal too. However tired she has been, she always carried that smile and stayed calm and patient. Every time I had doctor appointment I came back all charged up. I'm gonna miss all that.
I am super grateful to mam who supported me throughout pregnancy, who gave no unnecessary pills or tests, who even allowed me to skip that glucose water test coz I couldn't stand it ,who let me travel, cleared all my silly doubts and gave assurance every single time i was worried and respected every single wish of mine and made it happen .She has been my pillar of support ! Mam is an epitome of positivity . That smile and talk can lift up any dull spirit. Even post delivery she supports me with breastfeeding. I owe her big time!
I take this platform to Thank you mam for all that you did! You make a huge difference! I am gonna miss you.
I wish the very best to all the parents to be reading this! Make the right choice,Stay positive, Keep visualizing! If you are choosing Dr. Yogasalini then rest assured you are making the right choice.

Hi all,
First of all I would like to wholeheartedly thank and bow to Dr.Yogasalini mam for safeguarding my little bby during his pre term birth.
I was facing a very high abdomen pain from evening time on the day my son was born. But was unsure of whether it is a labor pain , gradually the pain was contractual for every 3 minutes . Hence confirming, mam had admitted me and finally was blessed with little boy at the very night and since it was nly the 8th month and preterm labor, our little champ was in intensive care for few days and now he is recovering and doing good . It was a normal delivery for me,even in this critical time was very hopeful on recovery of my health and baby's health only coz of Mam's care and guidance.
Thank you so much mam!!
Thanks &Regards

My wife went to Yogasalini doctor during the fifth month of pregnancy for our second baby. The doctor was very friendly, composed and was always receptive to our problems. She guided us well and was very much inclined on doing Normal delivery. Unfortunately we had to go for C-Section which was out of anyone's control. But my wife was back to normal lifestyle within a week considering she took one month with lots of struggles for our first baby. She has become our go to doctor for anything related to Gynecology. We are also satisfied with our experience in Unittas hospital.

I got the chance to meet Dr Yogashalini mam only when I was 37weeks 5 days pregnant. Interesting part was I was not her patient from the beginning, I was tested covid positive and had to shift to rela as very few hospitals treat pregnant women with covid. I hardly knew the hospital or about the doctor. I was in depression as I did not have covid symptoms, in my previous hospital, I was asked to take the covid test as the doctor had planned for a csection since I didn't have my water broke ori didn't get pain. Despite my reluctance,I wasn't given time to wait for natural pain and was forced to agree for csection which called for covid test. Here comes the plot twist, at 12am I was seen at rela treated by dr yogashalini's assistants. Thank god, my covid test was positive! Mam understood I was completely shattered and depressed, gave me hope that we can wait as even in 39th or 40th week natural delivery is possible.she advised me proper diet and exercises to help my cervix expand. She was 100% kind, genuine and confident. On my 39th week, I gave birth to my boy naturally only because of the patience and expertise of Dr Yogashalini mam. *** ** *** ** *** **** ************** * **** **** ***** Passionate, kind, genuine, caring, honest doctor, keep rocking mam👏👏👏We need more doctors like you who care about the welfare of humankind

Dr. Yogasalini is very friendly and provides clear explanation for patients' queries. I consulted her during my pregnancy and liked her positive approach. I had borderline diabetes and gestational hypertension, doctor helped to keep both in control and ensured a safe normal delivery. Whenever I had any issues or doubts during pregnancy and post delivery, doctor addressed them in a reassuring way. I thank her for providing such good care.

Once we confirmed with home pregnancy kit, husband and I were searching for lots of gync, and we went to Rela Dr. Yogashalini. Many were suggested us to go some maternity related hospitals somehow I am not convinced. I was very strong to continue with her, she always hear all your queries calmly and respond us in detail. I like the way she explains everything even when I have asked some silly questions. She suggested all possible exercises/ walk during my pregnancy for normal delivery. She said it will be normal delivery. And I normally delivered my baby boy with vacuum assisted. Thank you for your guidance throughout my pregnancy Mam.
