Having completed her MBBS and MD (Obs & Gynaec) in 2001, She moved on to do her senior residency at The Supreme Institute AIIMS, New Delhi. Subsequently, she worked as a consultant and a teaching faculty at Sr Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai for a decade.
Dr. Sowbarnika offers all general Obs and Gynaec services and basic Fertility services. Her special area of interest and expertise is ‘High-Risk Obstetrics’ while ‘Laparoscopic Surgery’ is her passion. She has also obtained her Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery certified by the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Sowbarnika firmly believes in wholesome care to her patients. Counselling patients about timely healthy food and adequate sleep are done by her as a routine. As stress-free lifestyle and happiness is the highest form of health. She has been regular with her Aerobics, Pilates and Zumba fitness. She is a strong proponent of these especially in patience with Polycystic Ovarian Disease which works amazingly well as a non-medical therapy.
