He obtained M.D (Natural Medicine) in Sept 1996 at the Open International University for complimentary medicine at Colombo, recognized by World Health Organization. In addition to this, he has started a Medical Manuscript Research Centre for doing elaborate Research of Siddha Palm Leaf Manuscripts in the year 2007. This Centre has in its custody 500 bundles of Palm Leaf Medical Manuscripts and around Thousands of rare collections of Siddha Medical books.
The Government of India, Department of AYUSH has appointed him as one of the members of the Siddha Experts Committee of Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL) under the CSIR. In addition to the above, he has been appointed as a Member of IMPCOPS Advisory Committee (IAC). Recently Pondicherry University has appointed him as an Advisory Committee Member in the UGC Project of Siddha Literature. In recognition of his valuable services, the Government of India, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of AYUSH has given a Project with a grant in aid for doing Cataloguing and Digitalization of rare Age Old Medical Palm Leaf Manuscripts.
