First of all I wish, hope and pray that your health problem is sorted out and you are on your way to recovery.

You have raised many issues and I will try to answer them one by one.

My regular consultation fees by prior appointments is Rs. 300. Any appointments made at the last minute or as an emergency I charge Rs. 500. The reception would have informed you.

And even as I apologize for the delay in seeing you. You must understand that there is a back up team to handle emergencies so that no patient is made to suffer. Unfortunately the medical field has too many unpredictabilities to handle. The day I saw you I had to operate on a 93 year hip fracture whose vitals were not holding up after surgery and I was held up there. Obviously that needed more attention and was a priority for me than seeing a healthy young man with an ankle ligament strain like you 40 minutes late.

And I really don't understand what the problem is if I can diagnose your clinical condition in two minutes. That comes with 14 years of experience of seeing and treating patients . I don't understand the term casual too. Should I be having a serious, tense and emotional face???

Next your condition was explained to you and your prescription paper has the diagnosis too. I clearly explained that for your ankle problem

Now sometimes I wonder what more to write and explain? Should I be teaching my patients the Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Orthopaedics and Pharmacology of their medical condition.

These days just with a mobile and an internet connection it is very easy to bring disrepute to doctors who are trying their best to do good for their patients. A lot of doctors have this feeling and in this process the society is the biggest loser as many individual practionners would shut shop and hide behind the cloak of expensive corporate hospitals to defend themselves against vicious reputation damage.

Anyway I sincerely hope you are doing fine. In case you decide to go to another specialist and if that specialist opines that I had not done the right thing please let me know .
