He stood University second overall in the MCh exit examinations. He completed his under graduation (MBBS) in 2008 from Pondicherry University, India with distinction in various subjects and post-graduation (MS) in General surgery from Government Medical college, Calicut, Kerala University, India in 2015. He was certified in European Basic Laparoscopic Urological skills(E-BLUS) by European School of Urology (ESU) in 2019. He was a certified Da Vinci robotic console surgeon by Intuitive surgical after successful completion of their equivalency program in 2021. He got certified as a Renal transplant surgeon (live as well as cadaveric) from Government Medical College, Trivandrum under Kerala University, India in 2019. He successfully completed his Fellowship in Uro-oncology and Robotic surgery (FUORS) and the degree was awarded by the prestigious Vattikuti Foundation, USA who are the pioneers in the field of Robotic surgery. He was awarded FRCS UROLOGY by Royal college of surgeons, Edinburgh, UK in2024.
He is well trained in performing various open, endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures like URS, TURP, TURBT, PCNL, RIRS, Urethroplasty, Nephrectomy, Cystectomy, Adrenalectomy, Pyeloplasty etc. for kidney, bladder, prostate and urethra related diseases in Urology. He has good exposure on treating patients with infertility and other andrology related issues. He is well trained in performing various Robotic assisted surgeries like Radical prostatectomy, Partial nephrectomy, Radical nephrectomy, Radical cystectomy with bladder reconstruction, Adrenalectomy etc. for various Urological cancers like kidney, prostate, bladder etc. He is well trained in Renal Transplant surgeries and have actively participated in renal transplant on both donor as well as recipient surgeries. He had been a part of cadaveric renal transplant team as well. He is quite proficient in carrying out various day care urological procedures like urodynamics, office endoscopic procedures, trans perineal/rectal prostate biopsies etc. He is trained well to handle all kinds of urological emergencies and performing various emergencies urological procedures like bladder injury repair, ureteric injury repair, penile/scrotal/testicular injury repair etc.
He has published 10 original research articles in various international peer reviewed indexed journals. He has presented 6 original research papers and 4 posters in various state and national conferences across India. He was awarded Urological Society of India (USI) Travel Fellowship for the year 2018. He participated in European Urology Residents Education Program (EUREP) conducted by European Association of Urology (EAU) held at Prague, Czech Republic in 2019. His original research works in stone disease was presented in Urological Association of Asia (UAA) congress held at Malaysia in 2019. He had won several prizes in various quiz competitions and paper presentations across India.
