Dr. V Raj Prabhu

This first half of the feedback is solely based on my experience of second extraction with Dr Raj Prabhu . My feedback for first extraction is written separately in the second part. With my super awesome experience with Dr Raj Prabhu, I was very particular that he will be my dentist for second extraction. And I was scheduled for 10 February 2020 and extraction went as planned. After 2 days, I started experiencing severe pain with bitter taste in my mouth. Both these issue have been conveyed while scheduling appointment. I scheduled appointment with Dr Raj Prabhu. But Dr Caroline was the one who diagnosed me on 13 February 2020. Well, this appointment with a different Doctor rather than the one who did extraction created many complications for me. Not to forgot, even in my previous feedback I have written scheduling appointment with one Doctor and providing consultation with another Doctor is not a healthy thing. Anyways, only silver lining of this consultation with Dr Caroline is that she talked about a name of certain dental issue in connection with that particular extraction and said she is suspecting but not sure. Following weekend, I went for a short trip. My condition worsened with severe pain and severe swelling in cheek and chin. I immediately rushed to the dentist in the vacation city. Dentist in the vacation spot confirmed the issue Dr Caroline suspected, but unsure. I managed with pain killer until I reached back Chennai. As soon as in Chennai, I was scheduled for an appointment with Dr Raj Prabhu on 24 February 2020. Dr Raj Prabhu did lot of dental work on extracted spot. The same process was carried out by Dr Raj Prabhu on 26 February and 29 February. On 29 February 2020, Dr Raj Prabhu confirmed things are good. He answered my questions of swelling by asking me questions about saliva stuff. Since I was not completely pain free and swelling free, I requested for OPG. Dr Raj Prabhu obliged and scheduled for 2 March 2020. On 2 March 2020, OPG was done and Dr Raj Prabhu confirmed things are good. And, based on my positive opinion about Dr Raj Prabhu, I had a long discussion with Dr Raj Prabhu about my next dental plan on the very same day. After that long detailed and lovely discussion with Dr Raj Prabhu on 2 March 2020, I was sure I am going to execute the plan. Hence another appointment was scheduled for 3 March 2020 evening which I cancelled later and for the following reason. Even though, Dr Raj Prabhu said things are good, I was quite concerned about the swelling and the pain. As Dr Raj Prabhu had questioned about saliva to me, I scheduled another appointment with a SEPTUAGENARIAN ENT on 3 March Morning. SEPTUAGENARIAN ENT sensed dental emergency. I was immediately referred by ENT to another healthcare provider. Both OPG and CBCT was done once again on 3 March 2020 morning. Finally, all the issues associated with this particular extraction was resolved by the ENT referred healthcare provider. It is very disheartening for me to write such a feedback for Dr Raj Prabhu especially after my interaction with him on 2 March 2020. So, I like to add that Dr Raj Prabhu is still held on high opinion especially based on my interaction with him on 2 March 2020 and hence I genuinely hope this feedback will be taken as constructive criticism. And, I have not visited dentist Dr Raj Prabhu on 12 February and 22 February as recorded in my Practo records. I have also not visited Dr Swaminathan on 3 March as recorded in my Practo records. Let’s close on a positive note. Despite long duration and heavy dental work on 24, 26 and 29 February 2020, Dr Raj Prabhu did not charge any fee for all those three appointments. I even more appreciate the friendly demeanor of Dr Raj Prabhu on all those three appointments 24, 26 and 29 February 2020 despite not charging fees. I am repeating myself that this feedback will hopefully be taken as constructive criticism.

I had 2 tooth extractions with Dr. Raj Prabhu. This particular part of the feedback is for first extraction. I am visiting India nearly after 5 years. I had severe toothache and contemplating a dentist visit. This very moment friends and family conveyed that most of the folks will only market RCT. Finally, Dr. Raj Prabhu was recommended by a personal contact and a doctor, who himself is family to us. Reg 23 December 2019 Appointment, I specifically asked for appointment with Dr. Raj Prabhu and not with Dr. Caroline over the phone. Appointment was scheduled for Dr. Raj Prabhu even in practo but was diagnosed by Dr. Caroline. It was an initial let down as recommendation came only for Dr. Raj Prabhu. But, during consultation, Dr. Caroline initially suggested RCT. She was quick to understand that my plans were different. The moment I mentioned Veneers, she could talk about it. This is great. Especially because initially when personal contacts asked few other dentist about Veneers, they did not have any clue. Then I asked Dr. Caroline about Laser Gum Contouring. She said something about the procedure. I raised my eyebrows with disbelief. She was humble enough to say, Dr. Raj Prabhu may be able to give you right advice, you better discuss about laser gum contouring with Dr. Raj Prabhu. Reg 24 December 2019 Appointment, Dr. Raj Prabhu did my extraction. It was the most pain free dental procedure I ever had in my life. As I have been living in West for more than a decade, I have a practice of visiting dentist for Scaling regularly. Hygiene standards of the extraction was at par with Western World Dental Care. As far as this extraction is concerned, I recommend Dr. Raj Prabhu. But I do not approve the practice of scheduling appointment with one doctor and providing consultation with another doctor. This is my feedback for first extraction. My feedback for second extraction is written separately in the first half.

On the first hand Dr. Raj Prabhu was kind enough in accommodating my questions regarding the tooth extraction process.

He explained in detail about the process involved and the post medication that I need to follow(the handout given on instructions after removal of tooth was one such thing). The clinic was well equipped (namely X-ray devices, state of the art auction devices etc etc). I felt very much at ease and comfortable during the entire extraction process and the services offered.

Good work Dr.Raj and team. Will look forward to visit you for all my future dental needs. Appreciate it!!

I came in with a chipped tooth that was very sensitive. I was expecting a possible root canal treatment. Dr. Raj Prabhu examined the problem and took an x-ray to confirm. He clearly explained why we should try other options before we go ahead with a root canal. While I waited till the next course of action was taken I observed him treating a child who was scared. Very professional and calm person who handled patients well.

Dr.Prabhu attended to me promptly at the pre-arranged appointment time. Dr.Prabhu clearly explained all the steps involved and procedures in great details – including what is being done, why it is required to be done and the implications. He gave clear instructions on what and what not to be done after the extraction.

Awesome. Very organised & well treated - The entire crew has been very considerate, empathetic & a deep concern towards the patients are the hallmarks. There was little pain (no pain ) felt - both during root canal & tooth extraction.

never had a better experience with a dentist, the doctor patiently explained the process and made me aware of the whole procedure throughout. The doctor was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable and also gave me general good dental hygiene advice.

The staff were very polite and courteous as well.

If ever I need dental help, I know where I will come.

Felt a positive vibe in the clinic....doc is very friendly in explaining the procedure....mainly he doesn't scare the patient ...

He is simply awesome and explained well about the problem area and it's preferred treatment plans. This shows his experience. The wait time is less. Definitely I will suggest him to all my known circle.

Very humble person, gave a good response to the elder citizen, explained everything clearly as per their understanding with much of patience... Ambience is very good...
