2 years ago at the age of 45, I had started feeling to hear less and was feeling lost while in conversations during office meetings.

I went for a check up to an ENT and was told that there was a conductive loss in both my ears.Apart from the hearing loss in my left year an infection (medical term-Cholesteatoma) was diagnosed.

I consulted various ENT surgeons in Chennai & Mumbai and everyone suggested the similar line of treatment including Dr.Ravi Ramalingam.(MD-KKR ENT Hospital And Research Institute (P) Ltd-Chennai).

Though all the doctors were optimistic about restoring the hearing only, Dr.Ravi Ramalingam gave the confidence that any conductive loss can be restored with a 99% success rate.

With this confidence, I decided to get myself operated at KKR under Dr.Ravi Ramalingam.

On February 27th 2018, I was operated on my left ear for the infection and after one year, on February 23rd this year I was operated on my right ear for the restoration of the hearing .

Under the supervision of Dr.Ravi Ramalingam and his efficient team I have been recuperating very well.

The team at KKR is very well equipped not only medically but also administratively.

From the registration to the preliminary check up/pre operative tests to admission, discharge and the post operative tests almost everything was seamless and utmost professionalism was displayed at every step.

I opted for a cashless surgery through my mediclaim policy which was also handled very smoothly without running to various desks which otherwise is the case in many large hospitals.

- insurance was hassle free with Vidal TPA corporate cashless approved , all medical expenses claimable too

- room was clean , discharged next day

Negative :

- Consultation waiting time is quite a bit

- Expensive routine blood test and urine test on first visit

- Nurses are loud and a bit rude

- NO PARKING

One thing I want all the Practo users to know that when the doctor gives out prescription to you, make sure that the prescription has the doctor's registration number as it will be needed for all medicines that require prescription, when you try to order medicine on Practo. My mother got the prescription, but it doesn't have Prof. Ravi Ramalingam's registration number, so it was problematic with Practo when I tried to order the prescribed medicines.

We were their with lots of hope that he will suggest something good with ref. to Dr. Hashmukhlal from Odisha. But we can't meet him. Not satisfied....
