I was a very happily married wife and mother of a 5 year old kid when I gave birth to a daughter in 2014. With my new responsibilities, which I was very happy and willing to do, I was losing weight, improper sleep, extreme fatigue and by mid 2015 was diagnosed with IBS. Improved a bit with dr A's IBS medication for 4 months but after attending a family wedding had a intense IBS flare up which was worsening even with IBS medication for 4 months. By 2016 Apr was 42 kgs and transferred to Dr b as quantiferon gold +. Was treated for 9 months for IBS(anorexia nervosa), tb. A very gradual improvement which immediately reversed after a travel and went down to 40 kgs. Dr b was confused and recommended a PET which was normal. Weighing 39 kgs with no energy to walk, sit , stand, sleep and all tests normal was collapsing and with my family physician's advice was put on anabolic steroids and basic IBS medication. After 3 prescribed steroid doses and IBS medication for 5 months again all the flare up was very bad. I was literally collapsing. At this stage I came to Dr Basumani. Even after seeing my medical records, this doctor patiently heard what I felt and believed that I had a problem which no other doctor or test could even identify. He diagnosed me for fibromyalgia and did the right tests and put me on to the best doctor who is treating me. A doctor treating his own forte is different. But doctor Basumani's patience, compassion, concern, care, intelligence, brilliance cracked my case though it was not his speciality. I lost four years of my life and I don't know how much more I would have lost if not for his diagnosis. My entire family is happy today. He gave me back my Life and happiness. I pray to God that all his wishes get fulfilled and he is an example for how doctors are supposed to be.
