He was the Head of the Department of Glaucoma and in charge of School of Optometry in Ahalia Foundation Eye Hospital, Palakkad. He has worked as Associate Consultant in the Department of Glaucoma, Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore and as Consultant in Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai in the past.

He has published numerous articles and papers in reputed National and International journals, presented instruction courses, papers and scientific posters in various National and International conferences.
He has been invited to speak at various conferences in Glaucoma, Cataract and Health Management. He is one of the contributors for the 2nd South East Asia Glaucoma Guidelines issued by the South East Asia Glaucoma Interest Group (SEAGIG).
