Long post but worth
This is Dr. Suganthi and I am from a small town near madurai which is Usilampatti. I am a gynecologist by profession and I have been doing service over 40 years for the poor and needy…By this November 2022 I had a myocardial infarction and Was shifted to Madurai and Meenakshi Mission Hospital and the doctors over there saved my life by doing emergency angioplasty…following that I was placed on antiplatelets and was back to normalcy….I had my menopause as I am is 70years of age….. And exactly 45 days from my angioplasty I had a postmenopausal bleeding….As a gynecologist I was worried because I knew something was wrong…. Immediately I had to evaluate myself with ultrasound abdomen, MRI abdomen and endometrial biopsy….the endometrial biopsy came as endometrial hyperplasia with early atypia meaning I was having Endometrial carcinoma….I informed my son who is a pediatric surgeon in Chennai and to my brother in law son who is a Cardiothoracic surgeon…..they advised me to come to chennai at the earliest. Came to chennai on Dec 28th and had a discussion with them whom to meet and so….the answer everyone gave was Dr.Ayyapan surgical oncologist without any second thoughts..
Without further queries got an appointment with Dr.Ayyapan surgical oncologist head in Apollo speciality hospital….it wasn’t much like a consultation with him but more of an interview where he patiently asked the history went on with examining me and going through the reports patiently….then he gave me the treatment options of going through the surgery which was removal of the uterus and ovaries…I was only in the thought that being a carcinoma I would need a open surgery but Dr.Ayyapan told that he would consider doing a laparoscopic surgery considering my age and postoperative outcome….he also discussed about the cons of an open surgery……It was a treat to watch him explain regarding the nature of the disease and course of the treatment as me being a doctor of old school….He took good care of me and said from today I am his baby and he would take great care….I was simply amazed and he was such an amazing personality and I haven’t come across one….on the go Dr.Ayyapan did not proceed to surgery….he wanted to make me fit for the procedure…so he had given me orders where I had to follow
1.Breathing exercise for my lungs to be strong for two weeks
2.Cardiologist opinion as I had undergone a stenting for my heart
3.Anaesthetsist fitness prior to surgery
I met Dr.kirubakaran who was the cardiologist for the fitness before surgery. He calmly explained the drugs I need to take and to stop before surgery and he would discuss with Dr.Ayyapan the management before surgery.
Next I met Dr.Babuji my anaesthetist….he too was not fazed about the condition I was in and advised the orders I needed to follow up prior to the surgery
Surgery was fixed on 11th of February….But Dr.Ayyapan made sure I’m not going into the operating room unless I was able to do my lung exercise (using a spirometer)with ease. He personally made me do in front of him and only when he was convinced he advised to go ahead with the surgery…
Then the D day came and was admitted in Apollo speciality Nandanam….Good care was given and the pre op orders were well carried out…Dr.Ayyapan told me and my family members before wheeling me into the operating room that he is only gonna proceed with Laparascopic hysterectomy and bilateral salpingooopherectomy(Removal of uterus and ovaries)as planned and nothing is going to change which he has promised earlier. It shows how confident he was and with much interest in patients health.
I was wheeled into the OT and the surgery was done laparoscopically and was kept in surgical postoperative ward and once I was fit to shift I was taken to the ward.
In the ward I was taken great care by the staffs, Head nurse, physiotherapist, dietician whoever u name it their tender care, attention and love I will never forget in my life. I thank each and everyone again for taking good care of me thanks.
In my native I have conducted thousands of complicated deliveries and the patients would see god through me and say I’m their god but at this point of time I see Dr.Ayyapan as my God and his magnanimous form where no words are there to praise him…I thank him wholeheartedly amidst of so many complications he has saved my life without getting a pie from the time of consultation till I was discharged from the hospital…I thank him and his team for taking good care of me.
Last but not the least I am grateful to chose Apollo hospital for the treatment where best doctors are there saving many lives….it was like one family
Thanks and best wishes for your treatment and care to millions of souls
With regards
Dr. N.Suganthi

Our whole family, during the June'20, got thunder like news by a lightening like message which revealed a growth in the right leg of my only Son
S.R. Ramana, a teatotaller, suspected the presence of Chandrosarcoma during the MRI Scan. At that time,
Covid 19 spread was heavy & we were not in a condition to move to Chennai, even some wellwishers insisted it.
Being the same Region, we moved to Trichi. We could not get a good result and amputation of the right leg was the only possible treatment there. Hence we moved to Chennai for better treatment by the July'20.
At Chennai, because of the Covid 19+ve, my Son's treatment got delayed to about 3 months. Every time we prayed God & the God finally show the living God, ie.
Dr.S.Ayyappan at Kumaran Hospital,
P.H.Road, Chennai.
We are gifted &
honoured to meet
Dr.S.Ayyappan with wonderful warm reception, soft
approach, sincere involvement in the case study of my Son, kind narration about the present condition,
psychological
support to the patient, sympathetical consideration about the patient's situation, how to overcome economically,
etc.
I'll never forget till my life time, the moral support & help given to us by Dr.S.Ayyappan,
His Secretary,
team of Doctors of MCCF, Technicians& Staffs. The hospital environment is very hygienic and maintained very neatly & cleanly & I also admire the manner in which he was attending to the patients in two rooms, rush between rooms and consult them, thereby not wasting a single minute of time too.
I won't forget Dr.S.Ayyappan Sir, till my life time& wish Him a very long life for the valuable service he is doing to his patients.
I salute to his humanity.
Sincerely Yours,
S.Rajendran,

S.R. Ramana,
** ** *** ** *** **** ** * **** **** **** I still remember the day i first met him for my mom's issue. We were very worried and felt almost towards the end of the world before we met him. The moment we saw him, his words in the first consultation gave us life.
My mom who is actually not very bold and worried about her issue was confident and relaxed after meeting him. He is very caring towards his patients , very professional *** ******** He is very frank and also explains well about the issue and treatment and at the same time gives 100% confidence , love and care to his patients. And i can swear he is the best in his field.
I also admire the way he occupies his patient in two rooms and run between rooms to consult them and cut down those few minutes also and spend it with his patients. I couldn't imagine that any other Dr would do this. He is one the person i would thank throughout my life time. He also has very good memory and care so that he address patient's attender and always asks me to reduce my weight if i put on my weight in next visit. I feel proud that i have recommend him to my relatives and friends and one of them who had severe problem got treated by him and they thank me for recommending Sir. It is always a pleasure to write about Dr. S. Aiyyappan. Being his patient for the last 10 years I have known him to be a gentleman doctor who treats you not just with his abundant knowledge but more by his gentle affable nature. His staple, I believe, is kindness. I met him again for another purpose in March 15th and this time was more worried. He greeted us with the same engaging smile and with a quick exercise of his mind and with a gentle intonation of speech ameliorated us and removed our worries. He then directed us to Dr. C.S. Mani. I consider I was fortunate to be referred to Dr. Aiyyappan 10 years ago. Men of his nature are hard to come by and anyone who meets Dr. Aiyyappan is going to be treated more by his personality than medicine.
I must also write about Dr. C.S. Mani and Dr. Shruthi who both were conspicuous by their sense of humour, rare among doctors what with their busy schedule in the workaday world of their lives. Dr. Mani’s humour is improvisational and natural. You forget you are undergoing a physical examination. Thank you, sir. Dr. Shruthi is witty. Apart from this particular strand in them what warmed us was the concern they showed towards us. We were made very comfortable in their presence. By their kindness, they made time stand still. Thank you, doctors.
I had not known any Oncologist by name in Chennai until April 2020, when a chance ultrasound revealed a mass or growth and further tests suggested presence of malignancy. I was referred to Dr S Ayyappan at Apollo Speciality Hospital. After due investigation and diagnosis, Dr Ayyappan performed laparotomy - surgery to remove the malignant tumour and fixed the pre-existing hernia.
Throughout, I had the best experience of medical treatment for the following reasons:
Dr Ayyappan has expertise and experience which is evident and made us feel comfortable even in the first meeting that I am in good hands.
Doctor establishes rapport very quickly, communicates at every step meticulously, encourages the patient to speak, raise questions etc. He is very caring and that sets the tone for a happy journey.
The surgery and post surgery experience was as patient friendly as it can be.
I recovered very well after the surgery and feel healthy and peaceful. Its certainly thanks to his expertise in the procedure. I had to undergo a few cycles of chemotherapy which again was done with utmost care and medication to soften the side effects.
Whenever I think of it, I wish that everybody in similar health situation in our country should get access to such a doctor and treatment.

I was diagnosed with plantar fibromatosis in the left foot in 2011. I had a surgery done at a local hospital near my home. I was assured that this disease would not recur, but to our shock, it recurred next year. I had then consulted with some doctors with some reputed hospitals, who told me that I had to get some of my toes removed. At that time, I did not have the courage to take up the surgery, and tried some alternative medicines, but they were all in vain. The tumour kept growing.
Finally, I came across Dr. Ayappan from MCCF. It was just a matter of luck that I met him at Kumaran Hospitals. He explained me , the nature of the disease and what had to be done to get rid of it. Initially we were devastated and very scared about if I could lead an active life after the surgery, but thanks to the doctor, he convinced us that if I delayed the surgery, it would be a big risk as the tumour could turn malignant.
Finally with the support and guidance given by the doctor and my family, I took up the treatment and surgery. Initially , it took some time for me to get adapted to my new life, but I was able to cope up very fast and in a matter of 3 months I was back to my office , though on crutches. In 5 months of time I was able to walk on my own without any crutches or help from anybody.
It is 5 years now , since the surgery. I now visit him yearly for my check up. I have to fully agree that Dr. Ayappan had taken the best decision for me at that time.
I have been to Germany thrice for my work. I even stayed there alone for ~1.5 years, which I never thought was possible because of the disease. Thanks to the doctor, he not only helped me through my surgery, but also helped me through the rehabilitation process, as a result of which I was able to return back to an active life as earlier than what I had during the disease.

My entire family was afraid of the issues that my mom had. When we visited him , he terribly made us to relax from the pressure we had and handled it professionally and personally. He is too polite and really treated us like a family mate who is having issues and definitely not like a patient at all.
One thing i just want to say , if any one having issues related to treat with oncologist , ** ** *** ***** * ******* * ***** * ******* * *** **** * ******* ****** * ****** ** *** ********
He first cure us with his caring nature and later part by his experience.
No words to express about his approach. Once you visit this great Dr. Ayyappan you will feel the same.
Don't ever worry people , only good things will happen for us.

I am under the treatment / consulatation of Dr Ayappan for over 15 years for my cancer complications. He is a true professional, and extremely genuine in explaining the whole treatment process and potential advantages, as well as downsides. The way Dr. Ayappan and his team of doctors as part of MCCF, manage the anxiety of patients and their family members is amazing. He shares all the difficult messages with as much transparency as possible, but with empathy. Dr. Ayappan or his MCCF team would never suggest any unncessary test or procedures, and they are true to their noble profession in saving lives and giving comfort to needy. I am one of those who had benefited out of the hunderds of patients he treats daily. Over a period of time, Dr. Ayappan has become a good friend and guide to define my lifestyle to keep me healthy and fit - Shunmugam, Mumbai

We first met with Dr. Ayyappan for my mother's Gynecological Oncology Treatment consultation around a month ago. Having just gotten a traumatizing biopsy report, our family had a lot of reservations regarding how the consultant doctor that we were meeting with for the first time in our lives would be. But Dr. Ayyappan flew in and crushed all of our concerns and fears with his expertise, patience, understanding, kindness and regard for human life. He did not shy away from any of the questions that were asked and calmly made sure that both the patient and the family members understand the clinical diagnosis and the treatment process.
We are very pleased and delighted to have trusted and opted for a treatment path with Dr. Ayyappan and his team of oncologists.
