Get DirectionsAt the beginning of the 18th century, the village of Marylebone consisted of just a smattering of houses state.Florence nightingale was superintendent of the establishment for gentlewomen at No. 1 Harley street in 1853. By 1860 many doctors had moved into Harley Street, choosing the area because of the quality housing, the central location as well as the accessibility to major train stations such as kings cross st pancras and Marylebone. As more and more doctors moved to the area they invited colleagues to work with them from their prestigious homes and Harley street began to thrive as a medical centre, especially after the medical society of London opened in Chandos Street in 1873 then the royal society of medicine in Wimpole Street in 1912.Since the nineteenth century the number of doctors, hospitals and medical organisations in and around Harley street has greatly increased. Records show that there were around 20 doctors in 1860, 80 by 1900 and almost 200 by 1914. When the national health service was established in 1948 there were around 1,500. Among the many famous and talented doctors to have practiced in Harley street over the years was the great British surgeon and polymath sir Henry Thompson in the 1870s who specialized in surgery of the genito-urinary tract and was appointed surgeon-extraordinaire to the king of Brussels, and doctor Edward Bach who practiced from Harley street in the 1920s as a specialist in vaccines and bacteriology before moving to the London homeopathic hospital then developing the Bach flower remedies.Today there are over 3,000 people employed in the Harley street area and the private clinics are modern, comfortable and welcoming; a far cry from the original days when Harley street doctors arranged their own appointments and dealt with correspondence by letter in candle light and resided in the house itself. Today, as you would expect, practices are run by highly qualified, competent and professional medical and auxiliary staff using state of the art technology and equipment. Having trained in UK for 16 years -we aim to bring the high-quality world class healthcare in Chennai, hence we chose the name London Harley street women and fertility centre @ Chennai OMR.

I wanted to express my gratitude towards Dr Parimalam and Dr Leonard for providing the best pregnancy and delivery experience. As a 24 year old I was too scared during my final trimester . But having Dr Parimalam as my OBGYN, I had such a nice experience. My first pregnancy was a cake walk with their help. At around 28 weeks , we found my AFI level is below average and got to know there might be chances for preterm . But Dr Parimalam and Dr Leonard handled it in a very calm and confident way and by gods grace I delivered my baby healthily at 38+ weeks. She is so friendly like we can call or ping her anytime for help. Even post delivery she is following up with me asking for health updates of myself and my baby. I highly recommend Dr Parimalam ** *** *** ********* *** *** **** ******

Have been consulting with Dr.Parimalam right from the initial stage all the way to delivery. Both Dr.Parimalam and Dr.Leonard are very friendly and professional. Dr. Leonard has been very patient and has been clearly explaining each and every phase during every scan process throughout my delivery. Dr. Parimalam encouraged me for normal delivery. She was always available via WhatsApp and calls for any clarification needed and guided us. I delivered a healthy baby boy via normal delivery. Thanks to Dr. Parimalam, Dr. Leonard and their staff team for making the birth journey comfortable.

I consulted with Dr Parimalam and Dr Leonard at London Harley clinic for my second pregnancy. I moved cities half way in my pregnancy and was worried about transitioning to a different gynaec. I dug deep and found Dr Parimalam through her rave reviews for her personal care to patients and thats exactly what i was looking for, after having a very disappointing experience in a big hospital for my first delivery where my gynaec didnt even turn up for the delivery and only consulted by phone!
And i struck gold with Dr Parimalam!
She is very caring, remembers details about you and gives you all the time in the world for all your questions and never rushes you even when the patient load is high. Same goes for Dr Leonard who was our ultrasonologist and is absolutely best at the job. They make a great team, highly competent in their fields! I crossed 39 weeks and Dr Parimalam was all for completely normal progression of labor and was super supportive and encouraged me to stay put. I delivered my baby girl through vaginal delivery a few days before my due date with no intervention to augment labor.
I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a caring personal experience in this fast paced time where doctors dont have more than a few minutes to spare.
