I came across Sama Wellness while looking for a good acupuncturist during my IVF treatment. I saw good reviews about Dr Sneha and speaking to her made me more determined to take acupuncture session from her even though it was a bit of challenge travelling between two ends of the city. In other countries like UK, US, acupuncture is an alternative therapy provided to IVF patients but unfortunately this still needs more awareness in India. After my first FET didn’t yield result, I wanted to take holistic measures like balanced diet, exercise and look for treatment that can help in good blood flow to reproductive organs etc before going through the second FET in the same IVF cycle. Also, my endometrial lining was just on the edge of required lining thickness. Sneha man suggested some good supplements and techniques like moxa therapy, stomach message etc to improve the blood flow. Along with acupuncture and supplements, she also recommended me some additional scans to study uterus lining and other parameters, to be sure we do not miss out any other underlying issues. With god’s grace all parameters looked good and there was improvement in my uterus lining. With our share of ups and downs in the journey to parenthood, I naturally conceived after having a miscarriage from IVF conception. And, I must say the sessions are painless and are very calming. In my case I have seen desired results in my treatment with acupuncture and I feel a good acupuncturist can have positive impact on the outcome. I had a really beautiful experience with Dr. Sneha. I was asked to go see by our IVF doctor prior to our frozen embryo transfer. I was very apprehensive initially to make an appointment, since acupuncture is not widely known as a form of fertility treatment. But not wanting to stray away from the doctor s advice, I called Dr.Sneha and took an appointment with her. Upon reaching her clinic in JP nagar, I was surprised to see the number of women waiting there for their turn. And while I was waiting I had the chance to read her reviews online which were very impressive.

For our first session, she explained to me very well about the treatment, and also told me in detail about the various supplements I need to take to enhance my fertility. I was told about how I can change my diet to include food groups that are good for me. She also explained and taught me to do a couple of simple procedures at home, that would eventually fine tune my body to accept the IVF. I started daily acupuncture sessions with her in June and continued it till mid July. The sessions are relaxing and virtually painless. She works in tandem with gynaecs/fertility experts to ensure that the patients get the possible results. I had my embryo transfer on July 16 the 2015 and now I am pregnant with twins. Dr. Sneha helped me to ensure that the IVF works for me through her holistic treatment and gentle approach. She was the first person I called when I got a positive blood test.

I would definitely recommend all couples battling infertility or going through fertility treatments to give acupuncture a chance, to change the way the fertility drugs/medicines work on your body.

It all started with sleepless nights of thinking what went wrong in conceiving. One fine day when I heard about Dr Sneha, I was skeptical about acupuncture. I am someone who is scared of injections and acupuncture is like a different level altogether. But Dr Sneha explained the issue we were having and explained about the treatment and the possible outcome of it. This helped in boosting confidence and I started with the acupuncture treatment the following cycle.

Though it was procedure for little more than 30 mins a day for 14 days, it helped a lot with the increased egg count. Medication helped me reduce weight. Yoga and tips helped me conceive naturally. All thanks to tips and tricks of Dr Sneha and her friend Dr Shilpa who as a team helped us with our issue.
